After graduating from BYU, MarDiene had the opportunity to train as a Respiratory Therapist at LDS Hospital which started her career in medicine. She worked in the Trauma ICU and was a member of the Life Flight team for many years.
After eighteen years working at LDS Hospital, she decided to go back to school at the U of U School of Medicine to become a Physician Assistant. MarDiene has been a PA in specializing Family Practice for over twenty years and loves the long-standing relationships she have developed with her patients. She love the variety Family Practice offers and the “treating the whole family” aspect it provides.
MarDiene loves 4-wheeling, snowmobiling, hiking and being in the mountains. Her new love is scuba diving – there is a “whole new world under the sea” I
She have served in different callings for the LDS Church including serving a mission to the Netherlands. MarDiene has been the “Medical Director” for 6 “Pioneer Treks” She loves being with and serving all ages.
